We are excited to reach out to neurodiverse or neuroqueer folks who are part of the COCO community. We want to develop a conversation about how we fit within this community and to share our experiences. If you’re someone that would like to join this conversation we would be excited to hear from you. The details of our first gathering are below:
20th August 6-8
Anyone with experience of co-counselling and lived experience of neurodiversity/ neuroqueerness.
We are taking a broad understanding of neurodiversity, including folks that identify with Mad, mentally ill, dyslexic, dyspraxic, autistic, OCD, ADHD amongst many others – whether with a professional diagnosis or not. Self diagnosis is valid.
What are we aiming for in this meeting?
Initial meet up to talk about COCO and neurodiversity and explore experiences in common in community. We don’t know exactly where this will lead, but we’re excited about the possibility of moving forward to develop some shared thinking and practice, and to engage with the broader co-counselling community.
How can you be involved?
Lots of ways! If you just want to share your views that is completely fine, but you’d also be welcome to work with us to create a resource to share with the broader community. How involved you get is entirely up to you.
